FRSC enjoins motorists to embrace safety culture

The Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned motorists against speeding, reckless driving to reduce road crashes during the Christmas Celebration.

Mr Ahmed Umar, FRSC Sector Commander, who made this known on Sunday in Ota, Ogun, reiterated the commitment of the corps to ensure that motorists get to their various destinations during, before and after the Christmas season.

“We are appealing to motorists to embrace safety culture, exercise patience and refrain from over-speeding to minimise accidents during the festivity.

“In addition, we implore drivers to desist from drunk driving, wrongful overtaking and reckless driving to reduce mishaps,” he said.

The sector commander also enjoined motorists against overloading. They should cooperate with FRSC personnel and other sister agencies to ensure sanity on the highway.

He said that the FRSC had massively deployed its personnel across the state to check excesses of drivers and response promptly to accident cases, including towing away vehicles which break down.
